It’s a great morning in Crown King! There is a light dusting of snow on the ground and the forecast calls for more of the same. Thirty four degrees is very invigorating! It makes you want to stay at home and decorate for the holidays. Between the snow on the pine trees outside and the twinkling lights on our Christmas tree inside, I am definitely getting in the holiday spirit! Now we need to put up lights on the house and decorate the General Store. That will be our project for next week…

Across the street from our store, there is an incredible holiday light display. Herb Shepard, a local cabin owner and contractor, has loaned his display and expertise to Crown King! For the past few weeks Herb and his crew of volunteers have installed a 35+ foot Christmas Tree and over 75,000 LED Christmas lights. The huge holiday display will greet you as you enter Main Street. The entire display is synchronized to Christmas songs! There will be a sign telling you what radio station you can turn your car radio to in order to hear the music. The display is not quite finished, as Herb is busy working out a few bugs in the programming. It will be worth the drive to Crown King just to see our Town Christmas Light Show! Be sure to tell your friends and family to come up and check it out.
