Santa’s arrival was ‘First Class’ in Crown King Fire Department’s Sleigh. Actually, it is the Gator that you see our Fire Fighters driving up and down the mountain roads helping to keep our forest community safe from fires. Thanks to Chief Lombardo and his Crew for helping make this year’s Parade of Lights so much fun. Justin Brammer did a great job of escorting Santa safely to town! All the floats in the parade were fantastic, too.
The afternoon was extremely chilly, but things heated up with a Shoot Out at 3pm at the Crown King Saloon. After the ‘dramatic comedy’ ended, the entire town was invited to join the CK Fire Dept for their annual Soup Kitchen. Thirteen pots of homemade soups & chilis offered yummy selections for the guests. Thanks to everyone who donated food & those who joined the Fire Dept for their spread. Thanks, also, to Santa and the CK Saloon for making this a special night for all kids, big and little! This was one of the biggest and best Light Parades ever!
