The 8th Annual Wine in the Pines 2014 was a huge success!
This year’s Wine in the Pines raised over $5,100 for The Child Crisis Center in the valley, and $600 for the local Crown King Fire Department. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated raffle items and attended the 8th Annual Wine in the Pines.
Many thanks to all the generous sponsors and to everyone who attended this annual gala benefiting The Child Crisis Center, with a special donation to the local Crown King Fire Department. This year was the first year we held the event at The Historic Crown King Saloon. Owners, Erica & Doug White were wonderful hosts and the venue proved to be a great location for Wine in the Pines. A huge Thank You to Keith Burns & Michelle Todaro from The Melting Pot Restaurant for the decadent Chocolate Fondue and Monique & Lorraine Othon from El Bravo Mexican Restaurant for their yummy Chips and Salsa Bar & Mini Burros. Your generous donations were enjoyed by the whole crowd and a great compliment to our wines and beers! The Crown King General Store owners, Gerry Morgan and Sandy Baker, provided delicious appetizers at a substantially reduced rate to finish off the evening’s menu. We cannot possibly thank you all enough! Also, thanks to our many friends who volunteered to donate their evening to help raise money for the kids, especially Elana Valazquez, SuLing Heydrich, Jeff Schneider, Brian Cherry, Darla Boch, Kyle Drummond, Bruce Formny, Patty Hackmann, Jenna & Brian Boles, Terri McGhee, Pam Godfrey and Ray Robles. Once again, local artist, Herb Shepard, donated a one-of-a-kind Door Prize to Wine in the Pines. You’ve all helped make the evening a huge success! Thanks go out to our local CK friends who stopped by early to help set up for the event and clean up after, Debbie Savatonne, Jimmy Reidburn, Bob Cosburn, Elana Valazquez, Lisa & Wayne Ballinger, Margaret Henningsen & Derick Ormsby. Without all of you we could not have possibly raised so much money for the children and CK Fire Dept. The staff of the CK Saloon provided critical support and helped to work out some last minute glitches, especially Kyle Ague in the Saloon’s kitchen. Through your efforts we have helped to raise awareness and much-needed funds for The Child Crisis Center.
Thanks to the many friends and businesses who donated gift baskets and silent auction items to Wine in the Pines. Those items were quite the attraction and a main source of revenue for the event. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
On behalf of my daughter, Jackie Briggs and myself, thanks for your continued support of Wine in the Pines. We hope everyone had a great time and will plan to attend the 9th Annual Wine in the Pines on June 6th, 2015! Thanks, Carol Boles
